Why did you start your own business? |
|
"I was always interested in cooking" says Ryan "and started studying and experimenting with fermentation with beer, cheese, and started brewing kombucha in mom's kitchen"
John just got back from a trip in California and had the idea to sell the Kombucha at the Farmer's Market. "We didn't bring enough! We were sold out by noon!" John remembers
"I didn't want to be a teacher anymore - I didn't like being in front of a bunch of people" Ryan laughs
"After taking business at X and having an interest in the financial side, I decided to leave my desk job - I left I didn't much to lose, loved the product, and had a lot to gain" recalls John |

The Turning Point |
Our social media was really catching on and we signed national contracts with Sobeys and Costco. We obtained funding to help increase production and marketing.
We are developing a sugar free version of our products, replacing our bottles with cans, and expanding across the country and into the US! |
